Metal thickness for repairing quarter panels? I think my friends retarded..
Alright trying to keep this short and sweet. I have a 94 Del Sol.
The small part between the bottom of the quarter panel and the the rocker was rusted..so I cut it out.
My friend is trying to tell me to weld 25 guage metal in its place..because it "bends easier".
Everywhere else I've been is saying 18 or 20.
Help me out, hes coming over later tonight and I don't want to do something I'll regret later on

20
but if you're still unsure take the piece u cut out and compare it with the different gauges of metal. but it should be 20.
25 is way too thin

Thanks very much.
I thought so..I rather regret letting him help me out actually.
I thought it would be a lot harder then it actually was, and hes in college for welding..but he is so cheap and lazy.. He was actually trying to get me to use a license plate..
Oh well..
