Help me build an alarm system?Calling all security gurus!
Due to a recent theft attempt to my car,its clear that security measures to my car needs to be heightened. I plan on adding at least 3 additional kill switches as well as an alarm. This is where I need your help.
I'd like recommendations for which retailer i should get it from and which brand /model,which model back-up battery etc
I know most of the companies offer similar features but the few that I want are
2-way paging( is a mile still the benchmark for these?)
Gps locater (im a bit confused about this one,is it not part of the system?)
The obvious sensors, tilt, hood pop, glass etc
I have a local installer who will do the stealth install.
I would also like to add, being a college student, budget isnt limitless. So the best combination and quality for the buck is important.

I gave the best write up above, Any alarm will do. Its the install that determines if your car is still there. Read up in the thread above.
I read up your thread, very informative.
I just want your opinion so I dont buy an alarm system that's outdated
I'm looking at either the Clifford 50.7x or the Autopage C3-RS1100 OLED
Both of these are in my price range and I was planning on getting a back up battery, tilt sensor and proximity sensor.
