Default Havent posted in a while... finished my personal car.

The car was not even a rolling shell a month ago as I kept robbing parts for people. Too many all nighters and a giant fab orgy later this is what we got. This pic set ends as of last saturday morning. I will get the finished pics asap to show how we closed off the front end and charge piping and all that, cam is at the shop.

That is really weird. I have a satin black S4 with the same wheels in the shop right now. Doing a single turbo kit on it as we speak.

Weird.

Looking good. Manifolds look cool. We're doing something very similar, thin-wall 321, double slip collectors etc ... You guys will be like twins out there!

Dom and I have long enjoyed being the dark horses of the b5 world... yet for the record mine predates.

I'm real excited to see what you guys do. We need both cars so we can dominate both coasts.

Would you mind sharing where you got the manifolds coated and where you got the gold heat reflective foil?

Thanks

great build, the only thing i have ever liked about those cars is the exhaust note...those and the VR6's have the best sounding exhaust

I did the manifolds myself, over time it has turned lighter orange/yellow. 2k+ miles with no flaking though and on the dyno they were glowing.

I use DEI gold foil from summit for less critical stuff and I use the real stuff from Brits racing in Sonoma, CA (http://www.britsinc.com/) where i can afford to and where i think stuff is mission critical

yeah, the 2.7t sounds like poo stock, with even just a good catback they are transformed. at wot everyone says my car sounds like a pack of street bikes. I have never heard it from out of the car though.
