Thats basically what I am planning on doing this weekend..

The rear quarter panel (Only where it meets the rocker) is rotted out on my 94 del sol, so I'm having a friend help me cut out and weld in some new metal.

While I'm at it, I plan on rust proofing the entire car..its in primer right now so I don't have to care about overspray or anything like that

In some spots there is surface rust starting (Frame only, body panels are fine), so I was planning on using a wire brush drill attachment and getting it down to bare metal, sanding it a little bit to make it pretty (What grit?), and then priming it with some sort of rust inhibitor primer (again, suggestions?), and then spraying it with what will most likely be dupli-color bed liner. I have heard good things about it, but again, opinions on which products are best are much appreciated.

I will be going out to buy all of the stuff tonight so hopefully there are some body guys on right now
