Default b18 swap terrible gas mileage

swapped a b18a1 with ls transmission in my 89 civic sedan. built a ram air system for better mpgs and horsepower. mixture of city and highay driving and I only got 100 miles out of $18 of gas which is about 20 miles per gallon. whats happening? I should be getting about 30 mpg

do I need to fix something or could there be something mechanically wrong with the car to get that bad gas mileage

throw some seafoam in your gas tank to clean the fuel system out. see if that helps. but ef have a small tank compared to the integra so it might seem weird at first but its really not bad on gas at all.

Seafoam is harsh and dangerous.

Every car i've owned has had seafoam run through it. if you do it right, it doesnt hurt stuff.

My guess would be the ram air. The MAP sensor is reading that there is *** tons of air coming in, so it adds more fuel. Switch to a short ram or CAI and see if that helps.
