Default OneSikEJ8's "Classy, not Flashy" Build Thread UPDATED 7/30

What’s up HT! I have revamped my build thread with dates and reduced the redundancy of pictures and the number of pointless pictures. I had a lot of critique on my photo thread aside from this, but this will be just for updates and updated quick shots of the car while the photo thread will contain photo shoots.

Mod List
Engine:
D16y8
Aluminum Piping into Stock Airbox
Skunk2 Intake Manifold
B16 Throttle Body
RSR Ex Mag Limited Edition Cat Back Exhaust
eGay High Flow Cat (getting magnaflow soon)
Mishimoto Radiator and 1.31 bar Rad Cap

Suspension:
Buddy Club Front and Rear Cambers Kits
Function and Form Type 1 Coilovers
Function and Form Lower Control Arms
Skunk2 Front and Rear Strut Bars

Rims and Rubber:
Buddy Club P1: 16x7 +42mm
Kumho Ecsta KH22: 205/45

Interior:
Skunk2 Shift ****

Have Ordered, On the way:
Nothing Ordered Right Now

Want to order/buy:
ASR Subframe Brace
DC2, Si or Civic Type R Rear Sway Bar
Center Console Armrest of Armrest Delete (Type K)
Driver Side Door Panel (Type K .. or possibly a set of CTR)
Driver Side Power Window Switch Bezel (Type K)
Steering Wheel with releasable hub (Not Sure What Brand I Want Yet)
Corbeau A4 Seats In All Black

Up and Coming Timeline:
Sometime Soon: Rear Disk Will Be Installed

Plans for next spring/summer: SIR-II Swap

The day I got her . . . Yuck

This is how she is with the wheels that I just sold . . .

4/10/11: Function & Form Type 1 Coilovers, Function & Form Lower Control Arms, Buddy Club P1 Front and Rear Camber kits all installed

4/14/11: Final picture with the steelies, I apologize for the dirty car

4/15/11: 16x7 +42mm Gunmetal Buddy Club P1's on Kumho Ecsta KH11 205/45's

4/17/11: Rolling shot on the way to Street Wars 7

5/5/11: Mishimoto Rad installed

5/9/11: Painted Valve Cover (please do NOT criticize the bay haha ... I used the sock as a filter for a temporary and quick fix, I have a new set up on the way, should be here soon and I have a different valve cover getting painted as we speak.. and throwing my DC Sports 4-2-1 One Piece Ceramic Coated header back on)

5/11/11: The header I was going to throw on does actually have a crack in it right at the tab where it bolt to or by the oil pan (I can't remember exactly where it goes)

5/22/11: Got rid of the sock filter

5/25/11: Rear disk setup is ready to go on (now I need to find the time)

HUGE Update 6/20/11

7/15: Dress Up Washer Hardware

Here is a quick shot of some of the hardware I got today, I need a couple more screws and one washer.

7/22: Ready to assemble (should have it back tonight)

I didn't take the two pics above from 7/18 and 7/22 (just fyi haha)

7/23: Got the car back around midnight so technically it is the 23rd, here is a teaser until day time rolls around

7/24: A Few Quick Snaps of the fresh paint[/img]

7/30: Rolling Shot .. super quick edit

Looking good man, it's always good to see some de-ricing action.

A bit too many/repetitive pictures and too large. You should consider editing them to reduce the size to something smaller. Also... I recommend a Vibrant Performance high flow cat, lookup the part number from their site and search it on Amazon (they seemed to have the best prices when I was buying Vibrant stuff a couple of months ago).

Good luck,

-Walter

Maybe I'm old and it was a product of growing up in the late 90's but I love clean body kits with big front mouths. I guess I've been out of the game to long but don't know why everyone hates "rice" so much.

Looks awesome man, I can't wait to paint my hatch!

Two quick questions...
-In your rear disc conversion pic, what do you call the red polyurethane mounts? Trailing arm bushings? I am getting ready to do my rear disc conversion and I wanted to do more research on whether or not I should get them.
-Where did you get the dress-up hardware? Do you have any pics of it installed?

Thanks!

yes theyre trailing arm bushings .. i was actually told the polyurethane ends up binding? i dont see how if you use hi lithium grease, so i will be giving it a try anyways ...

for the dress up hardware, i got them at a true value

Can we expect to see more of this build in this thread or is this one just to show off what you've done so far?

This is the build thread that shows how I got it and what I did to it until today, all new updates will be posted in here for sure.
