Default motor mount broken

my driver side motor mount is busted on my ej1 rather than buying a new one isnt there some sort of spray foam that hardens that i could use to repair it? or is that doing too much?

if hes lookin to fill it with window weld or roofing polyurethane sealer i dont think hes got the fund to buy new mounts for 200-300 bux. i think his best bet would to buy a used mount a roll with it. at the fraction of the price of buying all new mounts.

...or you can spend $5 at Home Depot, get the window polyurethane fill, and put it in your mount. Google "window weld engine mount"

Just buy the mounts new or used. If you don't have the money then wait and save or borrow it. Its not worth to save a few bucks to mess around with a part that is safety related.

depends some of these junkyards think they have gold mines charging 600 bux for a tired d16. probably be near 25 bux where im at and thats if i could even find a civic in the yard thats a 96-00. ive only ever seen two in my local junkyard in the last 3years. im just covering 10 bux for shipping it would cost. i could sell mine for 35. even on ebay they are 50 bux shipped used.

** Attempt to fill the mount with 3M window sealant - 5 hrs (including drying time)
** Replace with a new (or used mount) - a matter of seconds

some of those polyurethane caulks take up to 2 days to fully cure when put in thick like that to fill a mount.

I had the same blown mount... didn't want to trust anything else and got a new one, not worth wondering everyday if that mount is gonna hold...replace it!

they may not break but not many people want to feel the harsh vibrations in their daily driver rattling everything loose inside the car and have a massaging steering wheel that would make ur hand fall asleep on a long ride... lol

If you let the window weld mounts dry in wet conditions it fully cures in 24 hrs
