does any D series tranny work?
i have a 90 civic std 4 speed. want to get a dx or si tranny. just wanted to know if i had to keep it 88-91 or can i get a 92-95 tranny, etc..
i know it has to be a cable transmission and not hydraulic. did they stop making cable transmissions around a certain year?
any help would be great, gotta get rid of this 4 speed bs.

awesome, that helps out man. i think the 88 have a different spline count than the 89-91. so i pretty much need a tranny from a 89-91 crx/civic hf, dx or si.

the ZC transmission uses an intermediate axle shaft and equal length larger Integra type axles - the D15 blocks do not have bolt holes for bolting on the intermediate shaft, so the ZC won't work with a D15 unless you swap out the differential for one from an Si transmission in order to use the stock unequal length axles
dohc jdm zc tranny bolts right up works perfect dont get a d16a1 dohc usdm zc tranny it doesnt work again thats a first gen integra all others work fine plus a jdm dohc zc tranny has an lsd bonus
