Default h2b swap question in eg

i put my h2b in couple months ago and i really dont real a big power difference between my b20 i had in there b4... i didnt go to the track yet to see if there was a difference but woundering if anyone had a clue wantss going on... i adjust the timing and still no difference... and another thing i dont thing vtec is engaging... every once and a while i get a code 22(vtec solenoid) when vtec suppose to engage... u think if i have a vacuum routed wrong will cause a problem... i also have a chipped p28 any suggestion anyone????

Are you sure you wired for VTEC properly? H22's have butterflys in the intake manifolds, similar to GSR's. If you vacuum lines are not connected properly to that port, the motor will bog down in lower rpms

Wouldn't hurt to take it to a tuner and have him check it out either. The h22 should definitely make a lot more power than a stock b20 if that's what you had.

People with h2bs with a solid header and a big TB are putting down 190whp+

I agree, that is why I was asking about other possible issues. I have built and tuned quite a few H22's. Even a stock H22 should rip MUCH harder in comparison to a stock b20! And you should know if your engaging VTEC or not - it comes in pretty hard in a H22 with I & E.
