DIY battery relocation problems
Everything I have is hooked up right. My lights come on, signals work, etc. I have a 4 gauge wire running from the engine bay fuse box and 4 gauge grounded to the chassis. I have a 10 gauge wire running from the starter to the positive terminal. Now like I said everything electrical still works, the car just won't start. Im not getting enough juice for it to turn over. Is that 10 gauge wire to small? Im pretty sure it is, I just want anyone to correct me if I'm wrong
the 10 gauge is ok for the spade terminal on the starter solenoid, but you need the thicker gauge for the big post terminal. run it from the 4 gauge at the fuse box if you haven't already.
also, if the battery is inside the car you should get a sealed unit that doesn't vent gases. a regular battery is not safe!

If I understand this right you have:
battery in the back
10g running form the + terminal on battery to the starter
4g going from starter to fuse box
4g ground
Correct?
If that is the case then yes, the 10g wire is much to small to let the power from the battery go that far to the starter. change it asap, i'm pretty sure that running the power that far on a small wire could cause it to catch on fire. not totally sure though.
I am running 4g for my relocation and its working great.

Luckily it didn't catch on fire haha, I went and bought more 4 gauge wire. That's want I was thinking. So I'll put it on tonight and I will see if it work! Thanks people for your help
