no vtec no speedo after wire tuck. help!
i just did a wire tuck on my 94 gsr. everything works except my speedo and vtec does not engage. does vtec enagagement have something to do with the vss? also the car wont pass 3500 rpm until fully warmed up arround 200 degrees. once the car wamrs up a cel will pop up and i can rev it higher. the cel is 17 which i belive is the vss. can these 2 problems be result of one another? can anyone help me out? is there anyway i can test the vss with a multimeter? anything else i can do? much thanks.
The speed sensor can definitely cause these problems, here are the two trouble shooting guide pages for a eg civic, it should be the same for your teg. or pull up a wire diagram and trace your wires out.
Should also check your spedo... Had the same problems after converting LS to LS/V and putting in S80 tranny. Thought it was vss put in a new one and didn't fix the problem so we put in type r cluster and was all good! Hope this helps...
Thanks it ended up just randomly working after reseting the ecu and driving around. Weird right? If u don't mind where did u get that diagram at. Is that a service manual?
