Just letting you know the d16a1 is not JDM. Thats signified by the 1 at the end. Also the d16a1 is not VTEC i dont believe. Its the stock motor that came in the old integra. VTEC did not come out int eh US in civics until the 92 model year came out I believe. Dont mean to rain on your parade but you seem slightly misinformed. And if a company or person sold that to you under the impression it was VTEC and JDM they were wrong.

 

Your correct. I mistyped. The engine shown above is OBVIOUSLY not a DOHC engine and therefore not the engine from the Integra. It is in fact a D16A engine from JDM Civic Coupe's that were automatic. It is VTEC and JDM as well. It is essentially the JDM variant of the USDM D16Z6 (as noted above). Thanks for the correction!
