15 or 16's on 1997 CIVIC?
i was in the process of looking for wheels for my car. i was doing some research and found out that 16's will rub on my car without getting my fenders rolled. is this true? i was planning on getting 205/45/16. car is bone stock. plan on lowering EVENTUALLY.
this is my first ek, and i've only owned eg's chassis cars in the past. should i just stick to 15x7 205/50/15?
alright. thanks in advance.

I personally would never go larger than 16" wheels. I've contemplated 17's with some tasteful volks or something but tires start to get really expensive if you're trying to miantain OEM wheel/tire diameter.
My general rule has always been 15s for 88-95 civics and 15s or 16s for 96-00.
Certain 15's look too small on 96-00 civics. Almost all 16's look great with the right tire, (i.e. 205/40 or 205/45)

i got 16's on mine. its lowered about 2 inches and i run 205/40/16's. i aint ever had my tires to scrub. if you're planning on lowering it soon then i'd go with 40's and if its gonna stay stock for a while then run 45's.

Depends where you get your tires from. I've bought tires off of Ebay for years now. Look around and you can score a pair or a set on the cheap.
Not yet. I'm pretty good about potholes. 8 years and running. Small sidewall height is a bitch though. When I can afford another set of wheels that AREN'T Rotas I'll drop down to something reasonable.
