09 SI sedan. The factory tires are 215/45-17. Can I go with a 225/40, or will that not fit?

On further inspection, it doesn't look like anything I want is made in a 225/40, so I may just stick with a 215/45.

Tire rack, or a good local shop would be able to answer your question well enough. I've always found the tire rack customer service knowledgeable about tire performance upgrades.
