im not sure if im in the right place but im looking for the best low profile jack for my civic i need help finding one ..

 

I got a habor fright low pro. Works pretty well. Doesn't quite fit under my lip, but that's not difficult to fix.

My only complaint but is more of a wish, is that it lifted a little higher.

 

well im looking for a good jack thats gonna last without leaks i know its gonna leak but i want it to lasts for years without problem..my mvp walmart jack has been good to me untill like last year it leaked fuild i had it maybe 8 year now so now im looking for a good one .. please let me know what brand ,model and place where to get it and price.. im in cali if that helps..

 

I work at Americas Tire Co, and these are the low pro jacks we use. Very solid jacks, that can easily get under slammed hondas. On an average day we use these jack on 75+ cars when we don't use the hydro lifts.

Harbor freight aluminium low profile jack with some 2x4 wood just incase car is too low.

 

Central Hydraulics- Aluminum racing jack. I can't find the model number, but the box say item 92782.

at $99 that harbor freight one makes me wish I had $100 to spend on it >.>

I'm pretty tempted to just get some "low ramps" they run about $50. Not sure if it would be worth it to skip that and opt for the $100 harbor freight jack.

My predicament now is that I can't jack up my car at the jack points and put that side on a jackstand at the same time. Right now I resort to putting jackstands under the tow hooks on the front of the car and putting my old wheels under the car as a fail safe. The jack doesn't go high enough to use the tow hooks and then put jackstands on the side.

 

on the harbor freight jack how long have u had it 4 and do you use it daily or just like once a week? i use my jack everyday

 

so is that the only jack people thinks is good ?anybody exprience craftsman jack?

 

You had one that lasted 8 years! Sounds like you already had a pretty good one there

 

if i found another mvp jack i prolly get another 1 but walmart doestnt sell it nomore atleast not the big 2 ton i wannted a lowprofile jack and somthing not to heavy now ..my uncle had has jack for 10 plus years now it leaks but still works lol heavy too every 2week he got to add fulid..

I don't use it much, but its always fine when I do..

My friend has a craftsman jack, big piece of junk. Granted its not the low pro or anything. It's more trouble to use then it's worth.

 

this one is pretty low and lifts pretty high. Wish I would have gotten this actually.

i've had the HF aluminum one for over 6 years now. you can get it for $60 if you catch it on sale. i like it, and its light enough to take to autoX events.

Yeah I love my HF jack. Can pick it up and take it anywhere anytime

If you're in a bind for money I just saw a $44 one at Walmart believe it or not.

 

Then use any jack, since nearly all will fit once you get the car up slightly on the wood.

 

might as well use the oem scissors jack...

thats what i do, lift it with up with scissors jack and use my craftsman non low profile

 

I bought a low profile ARCAN from Costco for a hundred bucks works great and comes with foam around bar and on plate.

 

I have almost decided to buy harbor-freight. Heavy Duty 3 ton Low Profile Steel Floor Jack. It is a little bit old post but wants to hear experienced people opinion. Do you think this is the best low profile floor jack?(few list here) Right now, that website review popping up when searching for the best floor jack! I am also looking for this model.
