1990 da. car wont start.
just put a 95 b18b1 in my 1990 da. the car does not want to start. when i plug the battery in the car.. there is constant beeping coming from under the dash by the passenger seat. at this point the key is not in the ignition. there is also check engine and brake light on the gauge cluster lightly lit up... when i put the key into the ignition and turn it. the beeping continues and the lights that were already lit up ( brake and check engine light) light up brighter. the car does not crank and i dont hear the fuel pump, when i go to crank the car theres no beep or attempt for the car to start. what can i check to see what the problem is, recent owner moved the fuse box from engine bay to under the dash inside the car.. there is a round plug that comes out from the wiring that goes to the fuse box that is not plugged in.. anyone know where it goes? any ideas?
idk how to check for wiring issues. when i go to put like a ground cable to the frame from the block it starts sparking if like a power cable is touching the frame .
A ground cable will spark when touching it to ground if there is a load, [something on], in your case, something is on as your CEL and brake warning lights are on, [ign. circuit is on] or there is a "back-feed" into the ign. circuit.
Was this a problem before you did the swap??? 94

i dont know what to check because i bought the shell about 2 weeks ago and barely put in the motor. i do not know the history of the car but have done couple swaps before and never had a problem. what can i check
OIC, you got it without an engine and you installed the B18B1.
So you have no idea if the problem is yours, [your install] or it was already there, that makes it very difficult to troubleshoot over the Internet.
As I said, it is most likely a wiring issue, you may have to start from scratch, install fuse box in it's proper spot, reconnect all wiring back to stock, you may even have to replace some wiring harnesses.
You could try and see what the previous owner did to relocate the fuse box, [extend wiring and so on] and confirm it was done correctly, you are going to need wiring diagrams for the 90 DA and the 95 the B18B1 came out of. 94
