'99 GSR Block, want to sleeve to 84mm, can someone give me a price?

And if I send them the pistons, rods, bearings and crank will they assemble and blueprint and balance it for me?. Can anyone give me an estimated price on that for me?

If you let them get you a set of pistons like arias , eagle rods, all bearings, line bore, hone, blue print and install, is around $ 2600. That's what they are doing to my block rigth now. I'm going to send them my crank tomorrow and caps and bolts. They should be done with resleeving and they just waiting for my crank so they can finish assembling them.

 

640 for sleeves or in that area, 130 for them to bore....then add on assembly costs.....eek. theres a ex honda tech here in houston that will assemble the motor for 250 ..prosperous

Mine will be assembled for around $150. Why should assembly cost that much? If your paying more, you're getting overcharged.

 

Wow thats kinda cheap.. is that including boring and hone job install pistons to rods balance piston to rods. balance the crank turn crank if necessary and all that good stuff.

 

No. Boring/honing, balancing is additional. That $150 price is just for disassembly (what little there is), cleaning, and reassembly (with proper measuring/blueprinting of course). The bore and hone is $25 a hole and I have to double check the price on balancing. It's not much though.

 

well the 250 is for complete assembly, 90 bux for bore and thats complete.. not a bad price and an awesome mechanic. saw two of the cars hes workn on..ones a hb w/ a fully built motor...previously ran mid eleven on stock b16 w/ turbo and management...should be sicker now since its built.
the other is a crx w/ b16 first gen aswell....it was on stands but i looked at the head (exhaust ports) and theyve been worked on nicely...should be an 11 sec car also...daily drivers..intresting to say the least.

If you talk to Connley he most likely is going to recommened the AEM to you now! I hear alot of good things about paul's car. Bout time though!

 

Ya, Paul and ALex talked me into Speedpro. Glad u got the whole thing sorted out with GE.

 

speedpro seems promising...so does tec 2. hell all the standalones seem promising...when u dont have one..sigh. hahah ill just ride my huffy till i can get car back together.

 

I just picked the one that most tuners in our area are comfortable with to use and the one that is user friendly.

 

well dallas isnt too far to go and get norwood to tune how the heck is houston so big but lacks a lot of real advanced tuners? too much thinking..more drinking.

 

I have 3 tuners in mind st00pid, Connelly and Norwood. Maybe Kenny also but he goes through Norwood, might as well go with his tuner.

JiSatsu= stOOpid seems to be an awesome tuner...at a not so awesome price haha . but his work speaks for itself regardless, much props to him. id go connelly or norwood..seems to be a tossup. 4 hr drive..or 45 min drive hmmmm

 

Hey, whats up Paul. Come by the shop and see if i wired my **** right.

I dont mind doing all the motor stuff, putting it together, i find it very fun.. but tuning is a whole different story. NA is very easy to tune but we have no experience with boost yet. Once i get my car tuned and learned from the tuner, i will be doing everything myself.
