Can't shift at High RPM, JUST WANT TO RACE!!!
I'm having a very frustrating problem. Bseries EG Civic will not go into gear at high RPM. After I launch and go to shift into second gear the shifter feels like its locked out from going into 2nd gear, which prevents fast shifting. I can hit the clutch and wait for the rpm to drop while holding the shifter back and eventually it goes in. When you drive it around in the pits it shifts like a dream at lower rpm. I've had this problem for months! I've read and read and read and listened to a lot of advice from different people and nothing has fixed this issue. I replaced the CMC to an omni and then back to a new stock unit, replaced the slave cylinder, tried 3 clutches, 2 flywheels, took tranny down about 10 times, opened tranny and everything looks great, changed to a different transmission, and adjusted pedal, changed TO bearing, changed shift fork, shift linkage is new w/ oem shifter and have bled line correctly. I am running a 3an line from the CMC to the slave cylinder, not the oem line. I also noticed when putting in the new transmission that while trying to bolt on slave cylinder it does not push in when left connected to the line. We had to open the bleeder to release pressure. I will be changing back to an oem line as soon as I find one but I don't see how that'll make a difference. I also want to mention that I did have the car creeping on the line before and that's gone away in this process, dont know if that could be associated with the same problem. I need help, I just WANT TO RACE MY CAR!!!! Does anyone have any idea?
I had that problem a while ago..what clutch u running? My pressure plate had a problem where only half of it was releasing. Also have u adjusted your clutch pedal?

Does it only do it in 2nd, or all of the gears? Youre sure the synchros are good? Have you tried replacing them, just for good measure?
David-when I saw the trans apart and looked at gears/syncro I would change them out.
They look rough and that will prevent shifting at high rpm.

Which time. It's been apart about 5 times. I bought another tranny and put it in and it does the exact same thing. It should rule that out.
I've had an shift change arm break and it feels just like it. But I've inspected its not bent or cracked.... sometimes the spot welds break but everything looks fine...
I have the exact same problem, only difference is I haven't changed all the parts you have and I just want to race too!! Keep me posted if you figure it out and I'll let you know what I do and see if anything helps
The creeping was propably a hydraulic issue. With everything you've changed my money is on 2nd(synchro, hub, sleeve) or broken throwout fork (bent or cracked where the pivot ball sits).
Changing trannies doesn't rule out the tranny when they all have 10-20 years of abuse on them. If you don't want to jump right into a tranny rebuild try and find a friend with a "known" good tranny willing to let you try.

Also, there is a point where the throwout travels too far and the clutch starts to re-engage (why they make pedal stops). To test this, temporarily adjust the clutch master rod in just enough that it engages the clutch more towards the floor(more free play). If that works play with it until you find a good spot or install a pedal stop. If it makes it worse then rule it out and adjust it back.
So does that mean you have changed to different brand PP's? or where they all CC? I ask because I was having the exact Issue on my h2b with stage 2 CC, smooth as hell at low RPM but as soon as I tried to do a redline shift it would not go in/grind. Changed everything out for a ACT unit after finding out some people on here had the same issues with CC and the problem went away, been great ever since.
