hey guys so heres the story,
my 92 DA requires the gas pedal and brake pedal to be pressed a certain amount of times before you can start it, for security measures. so a buddy of mine decided to go try and start it. he tried it twice, it wouldnt start, just kept cranking..... so when i go try to start it, it wouldnt turn over, so we tried jumping it nothing.....later on no power to anything. no lights no sounds alarm cant lock the door... i dno wtf is wrong. so my question is could the ECU have locked me out or somthing like that as a security measure? i dno WTF is going ON. where should i start? battery has power, all fuses look good battery is relocated to the trunk if that helps..... please help guys..

 

it's probably the aftermarket wiring to the ignition switch.
sounds like a prime candidate for the symptoms listed. pull the covers and have a look. and test for power

 

lol this is gunna be funny, but where exactly is the ignition switch? behind the steering wheel? btw the car started up everytime np before this happened..

if you take off the steering column cover, the 2 black pieces connected to the steering wheel. the bottom piece is where you put the key and the top piece is just a top piece. doing this will reveal the ignition...

 

thanks to all that replied, i am still looking for more places to look as i will just check all these places in one day and just knock em all out. also waiting on fcm as im sure that he can help lol

so i was playing with fuses by the dead pedal today and when i would remove some the lights came back on but still no start... so me and my buddy removed all the fuses then tried to start and wow, it worked.. we pluged all the fuses back in. i wanna prevent this from happening again. any ideas?

 

yeah remove the the aftermarket alarm system from your ignition/gas pedal, a simple alarm and if you got auto door locks your fine. Some people go extra far with like turning the defrost switch on, turn heater to 2, turn key and start lol my buddys was like that, he had all kinds of problems.

Most likely, especially if it was running great before. Either that or you have a sensor going out or an electrical problem. But the alarm is the most likely the culprit.
