Arrgh so we installed the driveshaft (driver's side) and now my ABS light is on! after a couple of tests, we got it to stay off for a bit, but the ABS was engaging funny and at varying pressures.

I'm thinking the sensor got dirty or I have to adjust the distance it is from ring on the driveshaft. Anyone experience this?

 

same thing happened to me... and it eventually stopped working. i still haven't fixed it though. too busy.

 

NO direct experience-but you are on the right track. The sensor needs to be properly positioned to the ring, according to the Helm.

weird... my abs isn't giving me problems...but i've now broken my 3rd driveshaft in 3 weeks time...

don't buy parts from advanced auto parts!

 

where did you get the driveshaft from? ABS driveshafts are different than non-ABS.

 

I got a rebuilt one through Honda...it has the Gold-ridged ring on it...is that not for ABS? Upon visual inspection we did say the ridges were somewhat of a different size/shape...I'll go in and complain to them today

Its been two years since I put a driveshaft in a ABS Prelude, so my memory does not serve me of whether or not you have the correct axle.
