i would most likely just buy the peices and assemble myself. ive done several b16s just not a b18. can i skip the balancing if use all stock parts?

Why bother? Use better aftermarket parts, or depending on need, better for your application OEM parts, balance the rotating assembly and rock it. Doesn't make sense to spend the money on new OEM parts unless you have to run OEM parts for some reason.

id like to have an r spec block. i am being fecicious.
the main reason why i want to use oem parts is because of quality. im not looking for an infitity billion rpm redline or BFE amounts of hp. i got plenty of work in the head that i can eclipse 200whp and thats about all i need for street/track. i feel that i cant get the same OE reliability using after market parts as i can using OE parts

Run P30s or pcts (b16b). More compression, your headwork (and cams) will likely benefit from the extra compression.

i doubt i could clear pct's p30s maybe. p73s have deeper valve releifs no?

my question still is assuming i get all this at the stealership, would i need a balance?
