Question regarding conversion
Hi,
I'm new to this forum and only have a single question needing to be answered! I took Automechanics 11 back in high school and that gave me a little bit of knowledge but now I'm trying to attempt changing my 90 Integra (DA9) from Automatic to manual (the auto will die soon and auto sucks..)
Is changing my DA9 from an auto tranny to standard an expert's job or could I complete it with a little bit of help? I have my mechanic near-by if something goes wrong or so..but I'm wondering if this could be accomplished by me. I pick up things pretty fast..
I've searched and I've found guides but I don't know if these people are skilled / are already a technician. Also I'm not sure if this is the right forum..
Thanks!

I've done this with a 3rd gen, it was simple. I have no idea for a 2nd gen unfortunately.
For the third gen, you need a different trans mount, all the clutch related items, manual trans gas/brake assembly (or modify the auto's brake pedal), and need to cut off the cable housing from the AT's shifter to get the shift linikage in place. Maybe a few other minor things I'm forgetting.
But, sadly, no experience with the 2nd gen but those guides would likely tell you what needs to be done and then decide for yourself if you are up for the task.
