Cobalt GT-sports are really good, but on the edge of streetable. They have considerably more bite than Hawk HPS's or Axxis Ultimates once they warm up. They also have a high metal content, put off a lot of dust, and eat the rotors pretty quickly.

I had to take them off because the brake dust was caking onto the rims and rusting, and I was going through rotors every 6 months.

Yeah its different.. but for a street car and the price of the HP+ and how fast you go through them imo its not worth it

Same here, I've been using Axxis Ult's for years, no problems whatsoever. I've used them on my ITR, GSR, DB8, EM1, DC4, practically every car I've worked on use Axxis Ult's. I love them, best bang for the buck and they perform better than Hawks and Project Mu's to me. They also cost way less. For those who don't know, PBR and Axxis = same company. PBR tends to be cheaper for some reason, at approximately $80 for a full set (front and rear) of performance pads, that's a hell of a deal to me. Just my $0.02.

I bought some Hawk HPS pads from Customcarscentral.com. They had the lowest prices on the internet and I had them in one business day. Havent used them yet but i made several 125-130 passes at the track on stock eg brakes and rotors. Not to mention alot of brake boosting on the weekends. The HPS's should be sufficient. I have only heard good things about them and alot of my friend run them on their street cars/autox cars.

+3 on Axxis Ultimates. It's really a great cold bite pad and you won't get it to fade just by stepping on them to slow down from high speed runs. It's a very under rated pad.
