ok so Idle jumps up and down at stop lights no matter if its warm or cold, drives fine on the freeway. I changed the IACV today and its still doing it. unless I got a bad iacv it something else? no vacuum lines are disconnected . help me out

Have you jumped for any codes?

Check for any vacuum leaks. Whip out a can of starter fluid and spray all the gaskets, injector gromets and vaccum hoses you see. You never know.. could be something real small not noticable.

 

its not throwing any codes, its also very jumpy and not smooth, you can tell when you let go of the gas or your in 1st gear the car is jerky .

 

tried a new iacv from autozone and no luck..can it be the ecu?

 

i actually currently have that issue as well when thecar is sitting still even in neutral it idles from 1500 rpm to 3k or less then repeats. Im sure mine is a vaccum issue though cause i drove for 3 hours straight an got out an my intake mani was cold to the touch. So im just going to get a y8 intake an throw that on there with all the hoses replaced an see if that fixes it. cause i had replaced TPS an the IACV an that did nothing.

try with that guy said.
spray sum started fluid into ur hoses and gasket wer air passes thru'

if the car rpm's change then change the hose or the gasket.

or clean that thing(i forgot whats it call) under ur throtle and check if that works..
If it still does it..

Take in to pepboys for a vacumm leak test for 80$ and they will let you kno.

Thats if you dont want to play the guessin game.
