Hey everyone I have a 95 coupe with a d16z6 in it. I have had the car a little over 2 yrs now and have done no more engine mods to it then it had when i got it. Recently i noticed that when it gets close to oil change time when i start it up there is a ticking noise coming from valve cover area. The tick only lasts a few seconds then goes away. Any ideas??

 

Get a valve adjustment. That should help

 

does it burn oil? if it burns oil and starts to get a bit low by the time its time for an oil change it might start ticking
