Ok so I posted a different thread about a week ago. Here's the deal. I have a 96 Ek hatch with the stock d16y7. I took off the IACV to clean it, I clean it and put it back on but I forgot the gasket so a bunch of coolant was leaking into the intake manifold There was a puddle in my manifold about three different times until we figured this out. So take it off an put the iACV back on and the car was running fine but a bunch of white smoke pours out and smells like coolant and now the idle is surging I am worrying if im low on coolant would that cause my idle to fluctuate? And also will the smoke eventually go away?

Coolant from the exhaust is usually indicative of a failed headgasket.

 

i know that, but im pretty sure its not a blown headgasket. this happend right after i cleaned my IACV and all the coolant went everywhere this never occurred before and also its not overheating and the oil isnt milky.

 

Is there still coolant getting into the IM?

 

No there might still be some in there but I'm bit sure.
