Default Blackworks Coilovers - rear not low enough

Just installed some blackworks coilovers in my 09si sedan. everything bolted up fine, but im still getting about a 2 finger gap in the rear. the spring is set to its lowest height. was i supposed to remove the "cone shaped factory upper spring pad?" Do i need to let the springs settle? has anyone had an issue with their rear not being low enough? help is much needed!

Springs don't settle. If they do, they're damaged.

Did you clock the suspension bushings to the new ride height?

That wasn't the springs, that was your bushings that you failed to clock stretching / tearing to accommodate the new ride height...

never heard of blackworks but try twisting down your shock, or even removing your perch
