Default KAIZENSPEED Outlaw transformation

So we got rained out tonight at the track so we don’t have any results... but we had good results on the dyno Wednesday night. Our whole crew has been hard at work from concept to reality. Especially Andy and I. We're excited to see what everyone has for us on May 15 in Vegas.

In preparation for the Vegas IFO we have completely changed the car to fit Outlaw rules. Here’s a quick pic of the car in its almost completed form.
I really need to thank our sponsors Competition Clutch for the flawless H2b twin disc clutch kit, Avid Racing, and TopEndUSA. As well as Evolution Industries for the H2b kit, DriveShaft Shop, Injector Dynamics and Tony at T1; thanks for the help.

Really Nice Car!
Motec M800
..Been running on 26's since last year. We ran a best of 8.95 @ 170.45mph in September and then an 8.97 and 8.99 in October. Our biggest realization last year would be doing so on an unported cylinder head with stock valves. We've since made some improvements to the cylinder head and just about everywhere else we could think to improve.
H2b, PPG dogbox.
Competition Clutch Twin Disc
KAIZENSPEED / KStuned.com blueprinted and assembled longblock.
We designed and fabricated all of the accessories including the intake and exhaust manifold, intercooler, reservoirs and front traction bar/ballast.

Oh, and thanks to Shawn Roskilly as well!

Were using a 4.4 fd, most have a 4.6. We didn't have the power or the application of boost figured out last year. But we were able to take a new car and get it into the 8.9's and keep the engine alive all in one season. You don't see us breaking engines! Were
looking forward to see how big the big dogs really are.

This car is the whole package. Chassis preparation to power and the ability to apply more power in first and second gear. It's gonna set the standard for the first half, and should lay it down in the back-half as well.

Most guys have b series engines but the H22 is the hot fire!
H2b kit from Evolution Ind is awesome, especially with the Competition Clutch Twin

We have a library of photos of cutting the car apart and adding the framerails back. It is a 100% completely new setup that we built in 8 weeks. And it's ready NOW

Just a few photos I had on my phone.
Old frontend cut off and welding stock rails back on

Test fitting the new 3pc front

Intercooler reservoir and battery box

Start of IC and radiator

Plus IC piping, IC water endtanks, and fuel cell

fuel cell bar

Closing the front bumper

Designing the wastegate hood plate

And the money shot!!!

I had 80/20 on my mind when designing everything! We do have some ideas for improvement, but now that its done I can honestly said that its not possible to get 80/20 while staying close to 2400lb and following all the rules of this class (in an EK anyway). I'm very happy how the chassis turned out and reid got some promising numbers on the dyno. We just need the weather to give us some track time!!!
