can b18c rods be used in b18b1 engine??
i dont know if this is the right place to post this but i am..lol im looking to build up my b18b1 im doing an ls vtec and i am boosting the compression ratio to around 11.7-12.1 and want to put forged rods in the car and i was wondering if b18c rods will work i no they are a little longer and i just wanted to make sure before i bought them
thanks
thanks
If you put GSR rods into your LS engine it wouldn't be an LSVTEC. GSR rods have a smaller stroke for top end revs. LS have a longer stroke for more torque.
They are correct you must use the rods/crank together. The length is different on those rods. GSR is 5.433 rods LS/B20 5.394 Use the GSR rods and LS crank and be ready to hear those pistons crash the head!!

Ok I have an ls vtec swap that bore over n some things done to it.. One question, are the stock b1 internals forged? Because I know my crank is stock, but I have forged rods, I don't think there were any markings on them, def. not gsr rods.. R the stock b1 rods forged or no?
