Default b20v intake manifold bracket fitment

hey, isn't the b20 block 6mm higher than the b16 block?

cuz i'm about to install my intake manifold bracket/brace to the block and I don't think it's lining up right.

if i tighten it down, it might crack my head pulling down too far on the IM right?

anyone know about this?

stack some washers under the IM maybe....

dont even use that bracket. you are etalking about the one that goes from the bottom of the intake manifold to the block right?

People tend to delete those because they are irritating and weird to work around. i have been running all of my motors without that bracket. it is not necessary. so to fix that problem, just dont install it lol.

how many miles have you put on the cars you've built without that bracket?

cuz i'm afraid it's gonna damage my intake manifold studs or somethin... i'm a pretty aggressive driver, this car is gonna take some abuse....

can anyone else verify?

i too have not ever used this braket and been fine driving for many yrs. they cause more hedaches then they are worth. even some recalls were made because the engine harness would rub the bracket and make wires raw. Dont Use IT
