Default Intake manifold support bracket

Just bought the Edelbrock performer x - and am wondering if the support bracket (block to IM) fits because it doesn't look like it does - anyone have this problem?

It might make a neat coat hanger or something?

My bracket doesn't attach to my blox intake manifold either. But I left mine on because
it helps support the oil chamber breather on the back of the block, the oil breather has a bolt on the bottom and the top one attaches to the IM bracket. . So I suggest you leave it on. Becasue it does serve another purpose besides supporting the IM.

Well - the machine shop still has my block and head so i guess when i get it back I'll see how necessary it is. . . I'd hate to toss it and find out it served a good purpose. . . but if it's just "there," I always enjoy losing a few pounds. . . .

Take 'er out. No need. Unless you want to do cool JDM poses and stand on your intake manifold

You might not *need* it but it would probably be a good idea to have something supporting that weight. I would think that the studs holding on the intake manifold would be enough, but why would Honda put it there if it's not necessary?
