Distributor question
I know distributors typically fail on these cars. do you replace the coil or just replace the distributor all together? i have a coil to put in but i know there are other parts inside as well.
The car has spark, but it is weak i guess. the car wont start. i yanked the coil and got a resistance of 1.7 and 11,900 ohms. a brand new coil i tested had 1.7 and 12,100 ohms. i dont know what else to check/replace in there. the car should run. has spark, proper timing, and fuel. what else could cause the car not to start?

also is it getting fuel?
im getting spark at the plugs. fuel pressure is good, injectors are pulsing. and timing has been verified. a tuneup wouldnt hurt, but it wasnt done more than 20000 miles ago.
the car wont even fire if i spray ether in the intake. the spark doesnt look particularly hot, which is why im attacking the possible dizzy dilemmas.
