Hey guys I have a 00' gsr with about 125k miles on it. I was going up a massive hill today at a constant 3.5k rpm in 3rd gear and the CEL started blinking. When I got back on leveled ground the CEL stopped flashing. Does anyone know whats wrong with my integra?

a flashing cel usually means a missfire or knock. use a code scanner to check for stored codes and see what it was. because you were under high loads it could be knock, what gas are you using, when was the last time you replaced the fuel filter?

 

Pull the CEL codes to see if anything is stored. I too would guess knock was detected.

mine did and i tried everything. turns out it was my distributor that went bad. so you should try checking your distributor.

 

hey guys i drove again today and when up another hill and the car felt different from usual when I was going up the hill and i heard some weird noises..the shifter seemed like it was shaking more than normal

 

well did you do what they said and checked to see if any codes stored? that would help out a lot and i wouldn't go and change the distrubutor until you have more of an idea of whats going on.

throwing parts at it is not the way to go, your better off getting it diagnosed for under 100 or swapping a friend that has a distrubutor you can use for a test

 

just turn on your engine and take the spark plug wire out one at a time and see which one act funny. if you have buddy with a same car like you, just borrow their distributor and test it out. when mine was acting up, nobody can give me an answer till i find it myself and it was the dizzy
