weird idle on first run. B18C1
Could this be caused by the ecu I'm running? I have a P72 virgin in the car now and its got headers and a blox intake manifold. Should i run a chipped P72 or P28 to fix this? It might sound like a weird solution but I read somewhere the car will not run right with a virgin ecu if there's aftermarket bolts ons on it. I don't think it could make that much of a deference but maybe I'm wrong. Any other thoughts are more than welcome.
no way. your car should run fine with a stock ECU and only bolt ons. make sure your mechanical timing is correct and you have no vacuum leaks. is your check engine light on?
these is a few vac. lines not hooked up and my check engine light comes on a little while after the car is running. im guessing i should see what the CEL code is right? let me check that real quick.

try adjusting the idle screw on the throttle body (google it for a picture). check the manifold AGAIN for any vacuum leaks. if none, replace the IAC Valve.
