Default Rebuild 95 ls b18b1 where to get quality parts

Just like title says. Im getting ready to pick up a 95 teg with 223k miles that needs new rod bearings so while im in there ill just replace everything. Where is a good place to get a complete kit for bottom end.. Will reuse the crank just needing pistons, rings, gaskets, ect.

TIA,
Venom00

Something I though about, but when you buy a motor you dont know what your getting. They may say its got 125k on it but it really has 225k, they say it runs but it ends up it doesnt. Local people want way to much for one around $750 and ebay is the same way after shipping.

Ive found some bottom end kits for $300-$400 but dont know the quality of them. Not ebay ones.

Take it apart and take it to the machine shop. With that many miles your cylinder walls could be scarred up and such and you might have to bore it to 81.25 or 81.5mm. Then you'd have to get pistons/rings accordingly as well.

With 223k and a knock you'll be taking the bottom end apart anyway might as well do everything to it while it's apart so you don't have to do it a 2nd. Yeah it'll cost s bit more initially but it'll be better in the long run. As for honing it could be enough but take it to a machine shop and have them measure the cylinder walls and that'll tell you if you need to bore it or not.

Should be all the same for the most part, i believe the only differences are some sensors (knock, secondary o2) and maybe the distributor connection but not 100% sure. The internals should be all the same from 94-01.

The internals are all the same. Since its a 95 you don't have sec 02 sen or knock that's the only differnce
