My '97 has a leak in the weather strip on the windshield.. and I also suspect the rear window as well. The leak in the front makes it was past the pillar and ultimately onto the floor. Really annoying..
Mine does too however when the previous owner had the windshield replaced, I don't believe it was done properly.. or the aftermarket strip is not sitting on the body properly. My solution was using plumber's putty to stop the leak.

word. my car is doing the same. I was wondering why my carpet was a little wet when I got in it the other day. I also heard this crazy noise all of a sudden definitely sounded like wind! I was baffled, I couldnt pin point what would make that noise and why my carpet was wet.
Turns out the PO didnt have the windshield installed properly.
I only found out because I went to clean the front windshield and it pushed out. DEF NOT SAFE. It doesnt look like they used any sealer on it. It looks like they set the glass and put the molding around it. WTF...anyways man I would check the windshield. lol

even in defog ur a/c still runs. i had the same thing with my 4runner. it turned out to be that the condensation drain for the a/c was clogged and over filled into the cab. i didnt notice it bc of the rubber mats untill i took them out to clean n the carpet soaking. but there will be a rubber hose under ur glove box going threw the fire wall, it wouldnt hurt to check it for any blockage
