the numbers on top of the distributor are dst17427 and below that it says bk10e4. its definitely not the original one that came with the car.
how do i find the jumper plug to check the codes? the directions on that site dont help. i pulled the carpet back and found the ecu but dont see said jumper plug anywhere..
just reset the ecu and tryed to start and got nothing. tryed the jumper code again and it came up with a solid light on, no flashing whatsoever. any other options to figure out whats wrong before i go spend money on a new distributor.. would suck if that wasnt the problem.
ok so its now working! my buddy brought over an old distributor and switched out the insides. and now my car starts.. altho the alternator belt is ate to **** and about to break.. so looks like ill be getting that belt and replacing it.. anyone know of how to do that, or a website with directions showing how to do it???
It's hard get the tension right on the alternator belt because you have to hold the alternator back to tension the belt while you are tightening the alternator bolts.
You should probably purchase a manual that can give you directions with pictures.
