Default Lower H Brace

anyone fitted a lower H brace to their Civic (2002)?

Any review on if they are good abng for your buck in terms of a quick handling improvement for the cost. Seen one for about £60 ($99?) http://*******/gmZELk

Considering it mounts from a hardmount point to another hardmount point, you're not going to see much (if any) changes in handling characteristics. Realistically, they only reduce ground clearance and add weight.

megan makes one. It really does decrease a lot of ground clearance though... doesn't really add anything but looks.

The problem with the "looks" is that you can't hardly see it from the outside of the car. You have to get under it, just to see it.

The "improved handling" you experienced was likely the placebo effect.

Kinda like the "power increase" that people experience after installing an intake on a D17.

^Similar to the feeling of adding a strut bar, it feels good, but it's good for only a couple thousands of a second.

These are pretty popular with the DC5 crowd from what I've seen.
