***How long has your built motor lasted?***
I got some people telling me not to turbo a built d16 and just swap in a b18c, because of reliability and I'm kind of having second thoughts. Post up your setup how long your motors have lasted on boost. I just need some reassurance, Thanks.
Hmm, let's reply here.
Stocker lasted 3 hours, down for 1 year.

Rebuilt stocker lasted 1 month, down for 3 months

Built motor lasted 3 days <clutch broke, not motor> I kept it down for 6 months fixing all kinds of other things, also.

Not to sound like I'm down on my Honda, I've got 2 other cars to putter around in, but not enough money to keep the Honda running ALL the time. I take my time, and I've been trying to do things right lately

I've got a b16 w/ je pistons and a drag kit, going on one year and ~15,000 miles. Not a problem out of the motor.
built ls\vtec with custom turbo kit 10,000 miles no problems
and it gets driven very hard
my wifes 97 civic (D16) with 110,000 turboed 7psi drives it all day for work never a problem

13mos, 21,000 miles but I my stock sleeves or the SRP pistons arn't liking 15-17psi very much. Its time to build a real built motor with sleeves and make it a 2.0 this time.
