This is going to sound reckless but I'd still like to hear opinions I raced a 96-99 m3 tonight and we were going at it for a while neck and neck but then I think my car topped out at 120 what could be the cause of this bad computer? The car runs perfectly fine no cel good idle no problems what so ever it's a 96 Jdm itr lmk what you think.... Also I backed off the throttle as soon as I felt it

i think those ecus have speed limters not sure doe but i got my auto eg d26z6 with intake and fart can i got is to 128mph i think i chould have gone more but ran out of road

I've tested the factory speed limiter in my 98spec and while JDM cars are supposed to be capped to 180KPH, it kept going to 215-220KPH, that's roughly around 135MPH. I can only assume the 98+ ITR has its limiter set higher and maybe Honda did this because they wanted the car to perform well at high speed tracks such as Fuji.

180KPH is 118MPH so maybe 96specs has a by the book limit.

I have a JDM ecu on my Accord w/ H22 Type s and i top out around 118. Its just the governer

 

OP, keep it to the track. Like said before, your ECU has a governer.
