Default how big clerance on block/rod? Notch D16y8

I have a d16y8 that i'm upgrading with srp pistons and eagle rods.

Everything looked ok until i mounted the girdle and found out that i had to notch the girdle 1/8". then i started to search for notching d16y8.

But do i need to notch the block? it has a clerance, but how much should it clear?

i only checked with a ziptie that is about 1-1,5mm thikk, but the rod got stuck. How big of a clerance do i need?

sorry for my bad english.

theoldone is for older blocks. my rods cleared, but had only 0,02-0,04" clearance.

I have started to notch the block now. i think i have like 0,07-0,09" is that good?

It's not for "older blocks". It's for the d series in general. I had to do it to my 99 y8. Can't get a whole lot "newer" for the y series. The girdle requires a good deal of notching depending on the arp rod bolts you have. The block, I had to remove a good 1/4" below the cylinder/sleeve.
