Default Taction Control Comes on by its self...

So i put a new quick release in my 07 s2k. I took out the SRS bc you can not put the hub on with it there. So here is my prob once i start the car all lights are off, then once i roll so many feet my Traction control light comes on along with the VSA (i think are the letters). So obviously the traction control is coming off and i break lose, but what is the difference between the VSA and the Triangle with the light? Could it be miss aligned steering wheel maybe? Or is it something more serious? I dont think it is anytyhing to serious bc the car was driving fine before i took the steering wheel off..... thanks for the help ahead of time!! my poor s2k

Triangle is the traction control kicking in. VSA light means a malfunction in the system.

So is the traction working at all? When you try to throw the car sideways is it kicking in? Your owners manual should tell you what the lights stand for and mean.

If I remember right the vsa (vehicle stability assist) has a angle sensor in the steering wheel to measure angle input. So by using a aftermarket hub I'm assuming you didn't hook anything back up to the wheel.

This is just what I think I'm not 100% certain if I'm wrong someone correct me. Ill check at work tommarrow.

Also I'm going with the assumption your using a aftermarket wheel.

I had heard somthing of that sort, that it had some sort of sensor. Yes i am using a aftermarket steering wheel. I have removed the SRS as well bc the hub would not fit with it on. So no there is nothing hooked to the steering wheel.... but i even hooked the srs back up and put it up under the dash and i still have it.... So im lost on what to do now, let me know what you find out at work, i appreciate your time and help!!! again car drives fine, i just dont want to ruin anything by having this disabled all the time, and plus i dont alway wanna break lose as i mentioned before...

Only way to ditch the light is remove the vsa. Without the steering angle input which the car dose have, I double checked today the stability assist is going to be disabled.

Now as for traction control ill have to look into that a little more because it may be getting triped by the vsa being disable but its only inputs should be corresponding rear wheel speed sensors and throttle input.

If it was me I would toss the oe junk back on and if your lights go out and everything works then you know the problem.

So I have to get rid of the VSA all together? that kinda sucks when you have a high HP/TQ cars...So there is no way to adjust it or bypass that sensor?

Danm, yeah i could....it can be such a pain... Again thanks for the help man i really appreciate it!! You keep saying at "work" you work at a dealer? or what? Doesnt really matter just curious.. thanks man

You disconnected the airbag without concern but are concerned about VSA not working????

Please enlighten me why you want a removable steering wheel please

^^^^Yea because I have a racing seat and harness along with a weld in cage to be put in so a disconnect steering wheel comes in handy, and vsa stops my powerful s2000 from breaking loose like it often does very easily when I dont want it to... So that is why, is that sufficant enough for you sir?
