Default gear changer

Has anyone replaced the gear changer in a gsr or any other trans and if so what were the results? I have a gsr trans with carbon synchros, new third gear and sleeve. It wont go into gear above 8,000 and this is in my drag car. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

what "gear changer" are you talking about? shifter, slider, fork, or?

gear change assembly, there is a beefed up unit but I suspect it is your clutch that is giving you the issues.

I doubt that the problem is from the shift change assembly. We have used the heavy duty shift change assembly from Speed Factory on some of our builds. It works well for a Dog box or hi performance trans that tends to bend or break these parts. Here is a link for more info:
