DTC P0441
alright guys so im having some trouble with my 96 TL, 3.2 motor.
I keep getting error code P0441, i have tried unplugging a few of the sensors on top of the motor and cleaned them, also I changed the EGR valve today with another that i picked up from the junk yard. I had reset the check engine, and it came back on after about 20 miles.
I also checked the fuel cap make sure it's not cracked.
Any tips on what else I should take a look at?

A code P0441 could mean one or more of the following has happened:
* Bad vacuum switch
* Broken or damaged EVAP line or canister
* Open in PCM purge command circuit
* Open or short in Voltage feed circuit to Purge Solenoid
* Faulty purge solenoid
* Restriction in EVAP solenoid, line or canister
* Corrosion or resistance in purge connector
* Bad PCM
Try cleaning the PCV next. I'm thinking it may be a bad EGR or PCV as it takes a little bit for the code show back up- PCM commands a purge but, the purge doesn't happen causing the code to be set.

Thanks for this info I'm trying this in the morning since I need to smog my car urgently now since my operating permit is almost up
After working on it, DO NOT immediately take it for inspection- guaranteed fail. Unless you have a scan tool that can do it you have to drive around enough to set all the readiness codes before it will pass. Usually 30-100 miles in as many conditions as you can. Good luck and post results.
