97 Integra for 4,900?
So I've been looking for a Integra near where I live and I finally found one I like. It's a 97 coupe very clean and stock nothing has been touched oh and has 94,000 miles the asking price is 4,900.
Is that price to much or is that about right?
If it is to much how much you think it should be?

is it an ls?
id pay 5 grand for a CLEAN stock 97 ls untouch with no rust or anything wrong.
thats just my input
some people would not though.
all depends on what car you like.
to me i cannot see myself in a truck or any american car, I'am and forever always will be a integra man.
if you forsee yourself keeping it clean, taking care of it and enjoy having a rare car that actually doesnt look like every other car on the road, then 5 grand is worth it.
if you see yourself abusing it, racing it on the streets and just being dumb, then dont bother cause you will crash it, have it inpounded or taken away or u wont be able to afford insurance with all your tickets ull rack up.
Thing is with these cars also is they are different and stand out, and u get lots of attention, some good some bad.
but if u do it right you will be satisfied, if u do it wrong like i said u will be very unhappy.
id say pick it up and maintain it and have yourself a nice rare care man
also if you plan on keeping it storing it and making it a project 5 grand is still worth it.
even later in life if u decide to sell it or part it out you'll still get your moneys worth.
thats just my two cents, dont go by me though. you have to make your own judgement call on this cause its your money and car. we can just give you opinions

5G for a 13 year old car?
It would have to be in mint condition, [absolutely no rust] completely stock and I would still want a mechanic to give it a once over, before I would even think about it.
Then I would deduct the cost of any repairs/maintenance the mechanic suggested be done right away, including the cost of the mechanics inspection, the cost of a detail including a polish, from the asking price, deduct another $100 bill just because and offer that for the car. 94

Pull the rear wheel arch trim, [rear wheel arch protector] and see if there is rust under them, #10... http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/...ystemcomp=List All&vinnoT=&trim=&trans=&view=normal that is where Integras start rusting and by the time you can see the rust it is too late.
Also, if you get a TEG, pull those "protectors" and throw them into the garbage where they belong. 94

There is a link in my post above yours, as to what they are, IMO they are a mistake Honda made, they have no real purpose that I can see other then to hold dirt and moisture up against the sheet metal of the car.
Just reach inside the rear wheel arch and pull the "protector" off the lip of sheet metal on the inside edge of the arch, clean off the dirt, spray the inside edge/lip with a rust inhibitor, like Rust Bullet... http://www.rustbullet.com/ and/or a rubberized undercoating . 94
