Ok as it stand now my car wont start. It was running with no problems but out of nowhere the gauge cluster smoked a very little bit. The needle for my speedo fell off and the gauge has a burning mark by the odometer. The coolant temp gauge is reading max after the car has sat. And the fuel gauge is at the lowest point, car has 1/4 tank of gas. I get no cluster lights execpt oil, check engine, and srs. It does crank however. confusing part now.
before the car stopped running anytime I push the brakes all lights dim including the clock.

right now if I try to turn on the headlights the oil and srs light turn on. turn off srs and oil light go back off. no accessories work I can't roll my Windows down, move side mirrors, or sunroof, no headlights, no turn signals help plz .

 

i would start by takin that cluster out and lookin behind there, sounds like a severe short somehwere in the harness back there. if wires melt together all kinds of wierd **** will happen

 

The whole clusters out along with that portion of the dash. Visually theirs no burnt parts of wires. Nothing is charred nor does the dash have that burnt smell. In the morning I'm going to start check with a multimeter voltage to the dash harness well as grounds. Any thing else that I should check for cause this is quite fustrating to have happen yet after I finished doing my clutch and got everything back together. I really appreciate any body else's inputs to this as well. I really love my car and wanna make sure it running before I leave for the service on the 9th of may so I have a car to come back and drive. Plz
