Default 86 CRX HF

Hey whats up, Im new here and kind of new to cars. Recently I purchased an 86 CRX from North Carolina. I mean she isn't really "Eye candy" But she runs. Even with 326 thousand miles on it.

My main question is, it needs to front fenders. Do the fenders happen to be interchangeable with the newer CRX's?

I'd love to see your car, but your picture link seems to be broken...

Unfortunately 1st and 2nd gen CRX parts are 99% incompatible. To make things worse, 1st gen CRX parts are also twice as hard to find.

Here are some new fenders and a nose panel if you need.

I have more pictures to go up. Bought it from the original owner, The guy ran it until 2006 then garaged it because he bought a newer car. My brother in-law came acrossed and knew I was in search of a CRX. I had no plan on buying this gen, but Its what I got and honestly, I've fallen in love so far. Over time I plan to do a B-Series swap and all that good stuff but until then just going to keep her stock and enjoy the amazing gas milage while I can. As of right now she's parked though.

That looks to be in remarkably good shape for that many miles. Here's to original owners who take care of their cars!

I was curious to know. Can you get the fenders and the header panel in metal instead of plastic? The ones off Ebay, are they plastic or metal?

I just recently came across a 87 CRX SI. The header panel is actually cracked in half. The plastic fenders are cracking where the bolts hold it in place. Also, the hood has many small dents in it. Curious, can you modify a 91 CRX hood onto a 87?

Nope.

Also, the parts off ebay are all plastic.
