***Safe*** Place to buy OEM ITR Replica 98-01 Front Lip
Hey everyone, Ive been doing a ton of research on Replica OEM ITR Front lips. OEM Acura ones are just too expensive.
Ive looked at jdmsh!t.com, password jdm, and also ebay.
Ive seen horror stories with how these lips are packed and stuffed in a box.
Where would you buy one?
TIA!

Wings west makes a good replica. Most lips that are stuffed into a box are because they are polyurethane and can be bent all up and stuffed into a smaller box. In this case what you would normally do is take it and leave it outside in the sunlight for like a half day so it unfolds and goes back its original shape. I would go with a wings west replica if that's what you want is a replica
Dude dont get a jdmsh!t lip. They truly suck. I have left mine in the heat and still didnt fix the issue. The lip middle air dam section kind of ripples so double side tape has not been affective. I have yet to drive my car due to other reasons, but I am surely going to pull the lip off and install my damage OEM one instead knowing that at least that one will hold on securely compared to the JDMSh!T one.

If it's going on a real R, go OEM. don't cheap out. You'll only end up paying for another one in a couple months when the other one falls off.

There are used OEM lips for sale from time to time. All the aftermarket lips out there don't look the same, and you'll be able to tell.
yea, if it's not a type r, buy the cheapest **** you can :eyeroll:

As to where, search around. I got mine from craigslist in Sacramento for a good price/condition. Weaksauce parts sells them brand new for $250 if you prefer that. Hope that helps
LoL I just picked up a lip OEM tafetta white with all the mounting hardware, I know another guy that is asking $200 shipped w/ one broken tab
JDM front ends weren't intended for USDM cars. How about X swap in Y car? I believe your question applies there.
Maybe because that's what someone wants for their car and how they choose to spend their money. Does that answer your question?

I have a wings west/comptech lip on my gsr and its the closest one you'll get to oem. I've seen ones from eBay and jdmsh!t first-hand and some of them flare out on the sides which was why I chose comptech. Plus it's made out of PU, which I would prefer over fiberglass. But you die-hard oem fans won't really care for that, but in your case, it should be the best route.

I have a different link though
On a side note, can you use the GS-R hardware from the OEM GS-R side skirts to install OEM ITR sideskirts?
Any links to the hardware online?
TIA!
