i just put the motor in today and put it all together and it starts right up.. it has low idle surge like 1200rpms when lil warm it jump 1200-1800rpms and drops back down! was thinking tb gasket leak?? i have a victor x intake manifold and a sk2 throttle body with a 68mm thermal gasket! could this be the problem? also the victor x manifold iacv weird looks like its universal d and b series iacv. i think i have a d series one on it right now. could that be a problem? also i put a new blox tps on it and did the ohms reading and they are correct.48ish closed and5.00 wot! or is it diff readings i should have? it seems to hold fuel pressure i set it for 45ish psi right now where should it be exactly? and when i give it short revs it wants to choke and die? wtf could be that problem? if i hold the gas down rev it up to like 3000rpms it seems to rev fine.. i dont get it can someone please give me some feedback.. i dont wanna f this engine up! well hope someone can help me.. thanks in advanced HONDA TECH MEMBERS

 

ps everything is brand new! also keep trying to burp the engine's coolant system thinking thats the problem and also i dont have 02 sensor hooked up yet and im not geting no check engine codes? weird and im running a stock p28 at the moment. is that bad to do? should i use my lsvtec ecu to start it up and see what it does? or just get a stock p72 gsr ecu? maybe the p28's messing with the engine? please help

voltage should be .5 closed, 4.5 wide open. Any check engine lights?

 

ok i got the voltage right thanks and no codes.. its weird i just started it up and it ran like 1200 till warm up and then it started going up and down not by alot tho.. hmmmmm

 

also i had it started and it idle high like 1200 and i disconnected the iacv and it keep runing as it was then soon as it warms up and then started to surge i diconnected the iacv and the car puttered and shut off! is that a bad iacv?

 

If you are using a d series harness, the iacv plug converts over from a 3 plug to a 2 plug, so that might be your problem right there.

 

Maybe. But I think in almost a year he should have figured it out.
