GSR Block prices??
So ive been browsing online looking for a GSR block. I found a block for $500, is that the average price or should i keep lookin? btw im in washington if that makes a difference
The price will always fluctuate between how well it is been kept, demand, and whether or not it was stolen. That could range from $300-$800. It all depends upon where/who it is.
Washington eh? Make sure it isn't stolen. I picked up a complete gsr block for $450 a year ago. I think price varies based on region to a degree. If its in good shape I'd say its worth $500;providing its not stolen.

WHY do people throw around the term "Block" all the time? It's like saying you're going to buy some apples and saying you're going to get "some fruit."
"BLOCK" usually means a bare block
SHORTBLOCK = bottom end of engine: block, rods, pistons, crank
LONGBLOCK = Shortblock + cylinder head (can include manifolds)
$500 for a "Block", and you're getting robbed
$500 for a Shortblock, if it was in good running condition is a fair price, albeit a bit high
$500 for a longblock could be a good price, depending on condition. Good condition, running engine: it's a STEAL. Needs to be freshened up: Good price. Spun bearing: Fair price.

For $500, that thing better be 100% pristine and not need machine work with a good crankshaft (especially if you're doing a build that will replace rods/pistons).
